Fukuoka In the workshop “Wai 2 I Family 2 (Way Waigaya Gaya)” located on the Itoshima peninsula, which covers the western part of the prefecture, the Genkai Pass, you can enjoy creating works using the mysterious clay “Tedama” that does not burn and harden. Let's finish the work full of originality such as Shisa and mini house.

“Tsuchidama” has a rustic atmosphere

"Dodama" is a mysterious clay that hardens naturally without firing. Once hardened, it is characterized by being resistant to fire and water as if it had been unglazed. Just like making clay when I was a child, I knead the soil and use my hands to create a shape. When I started making it, everyone became silent and concentrated on the work. Time passes quickly when you are immersed in the production.

The amount of clay you like

In the workshop, you can make one of your favorite works. You can choose the amount of clay from 500g, 1kg, and 2kg. With 500g you can make a figurine or a flowerpot, with 1kg you can make a demon or Shisa, and with 2kg you can make a house that can light up. While referring to the prepared sample, arrange it in various ways, and color it when the shape is completed. Please complete a work that is unique to you while having fun with this and that.
